They don't only appear male, they actually do become male. They go through the exact same process natural males do, all fetuses begin female and males are altered by testosterone. Not in a way that's good for them, but in a way that makes them more beneficial to the tribe. Nature dictates that self-actualization is for females only, males exist only to mate, defend the tribe, and work for the tribe and female partners. So it's not surprising that almost every detrans is FtMtF, and then they're stuck being on the shittier with us.

Nah, the closest we can get is to believe they vaguely go through male puberty. They are not biologically male any more than a bald person in a wig has a full head of hair.

No, male hormones make female male. In fact that's how every male develops, every fetus is female initially. How many trans men do you actually see? The only remaining difference for them is their sexual organs.

Sex is determined at conception. Even a female foetus exposed to testosterone remains female albeit with masculinising effects. The chromosomes are there before sex hormones come into play.

Chromosomes do little more than decide which hormone is released. In fact males are far more susceptible to mutations because females have a backup copy of their genes.

Female hormones do very little, the only known permanent change is breasts. Which makes sense, because all they are expected to do for their tribe is have babies, the rest is their life. Male hormones on the other hand alter almost everything so they can be the most fit slaves possible. So it is not hard to send a female through the male development with hormones and have them be almost exactly the same as a natural male. This is yet another female-exclusive privilege, things don't work out so well the other way.

Sex chromosomes determine sex, leading to the development of organs that will produce the hormones you mention. Define 'almost exactly the same as a natural male'. I'd say lacking male genitals and having ovaries would be notable differences.

If you have a source that supports the claim that sex hormones can make a genetically female foetus develop into a male (presumably with male genitals) then do please share it. If what you have points to masculinising effects, with the genitals still being congruent with genetic sex then no need as that's what I understand to be the consensus on this.

Pretty much the only ones. Everything else is hormonal. Development triggered by hormones that is, not direct effects of them (meaning they won't reverse if the hormones stop, the hormones just signal to the body to make certain changes).

XY people with disorders where their body doesn't respond to hormones will remain a prepubescent female their entire lives. Technically they do have undeveloped male genitals inside them, but there's no way to know without testing them. Usually this is not found out until they never go through puberty or start periods. Every other feature they have is female, because their hormones haven't changed it. Even prepubescent boys have a lot more female features than adult men. Male hormones basically trigger developmental processes off the default path and towards a more specialized one, specialized for being the best slaves for their clan, working their asses off and fighting. This only means a female can mostly become a male, doing it the other way around is not possible because there is no natural mechanism for it.

Still, pretty significant given sex organs are a somewhat defining aspect of biological sex.

True, hormones certainly are very significant, and you're right that female genitals can develop in a severe absence of male sex hormones. Same for girls with conditions causing an excess of male sex hormones. The end result tends to be genetically one sex while showing characteristics of the other.

The characteristics are what affect you though.

They are part of the picture. That a 20 year-old could through drugs and surgery be have characteristics of a 70 year-old doesn't make them one.
