Nothing christian about zionism

[–]DaijoubuYabai 4 insightful - 3 fun4 insightful - 2 fun5 insightful - 3 fun -  (14 children)

Lots of American Evangelistic Christians are in favor of the same policies that the Israeli government are in favor of, because they believe that Jesus will not return until the Temple of Jerusalem is restored. Ever since the 17th century (and maybe earlier), this is one of the premises of British policy towards the "Holy Land" and for the Puritan embracing of many Old Testament traditions. Look at all the Old Testament names that Puritans were given.

Early American Puritan settlers from England carried this tradition here, and this is one of the reasons that it is still the basis for a lot of American Evangelistic beliefs and policies.

Sure, but that's not zionism.

Zionism is the movement to restore Jewish control to the entire region of "Palestine", which is a larger area than Israel's borders today. That's exactly the same goal that American Evangelists have, and this is how they are in sync with the Israeli government's policies.

They are judaists, not jews. Jews believe in Jesus Christ and are called Christians, because they are His disciples.

Judaists deny Jesus and therefore cannot be Jews. Neither can they be Israel. They are children of the devil, as Jesus said in john 8.

The holy land belong to Israelites because God promised this land to his chosen people. Judaists are edomites and were rejected by Jesus Christ 2000 years ago. They are neither jews nor israelites.
Zionism has nothing to do with christianity.

Tell that to the millions of American Evangelistic Christians who support the people and government of Israel for the reasons I outlined above.

Those millions of American Christians don't consider themselves to be "Jews". And these millions of Christians are aligned with Zionists, irrespective of whether you want to call the Zionists "Jews" or "Judaists".

You can argue that point with those American Christians, but you won't get very far with most of them.

Christians are not jews. Jews are Christians. One is a subset of the other. Hard concept?

I also don't care much about what some group might think. I care about what is the truth. Christianity has nothing to do with zionism, because zionism is about promoting the idea that: judaists are jews, that judaists are israelites, that judaists have a claim of israel, that christians aren't israelites, that jews are gods chosen people, not christians

Zionism is related to judaism, not Christianity.

Christianity is about the teachings of Jesus Christ and it has little to do with the group of people that Jesus called children of the devil.

Those "American Christians" you refer to aren't Christians.

Understood, and I respect your beliefs about this.

However, most Americans won't support that viewpoint as expressed, and I doubt it will ever get much traction among very many policymakers in the real world. So, those who hold the views you outlined and adhere to the definitions you elucidated will almost certainly always be in a small, not-very-influential minority.

For your sake, it's good that you don't care much about what all those others might think.

So, those who hold the views you outlined and adhere to the definitions you elucidated will almost certainly always be in a small, not-very-influential minority.

Commonly held belief for almost 2000 years. You have recency bias. Just because so-called Jews are currently in control does not mean that this has always been the case nor that it will remain that way.
They might not want us to read the bible but the bible wont change much and "jews" changing the definition of words wont change what Jesus said.

Jesus came for the lost tribes of israel. Those that don't hear His word do not belong to God ("jews"). Jesus warned us about these wolves in sheeps clothing and that the truth will set us free (literally this verse is about "jews" beng children of the devil).
No matter how much these "American christians" call themselves Christians, they are not if they do not adhere to what Jesus taught us.

There are more Christian Zionists than there are Jewish Zionists.

[–]Dragonerne 4 insightful - 3 fun4 insightful - 2 fun5 insightful - 3 fun -  (5 children)

They're not christians

They think they are and they label themselves that, as do others. Labels communicate ideas, and communication is two-way, so their labels matter as much as external ones do.

[–]Dragonerne 3 insightful - 3 fun3 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 3 fun -  (2 children)

No lol
Christians are followers of Jesus. Zionism is about "restoring" Israel to the judaists, whom Jesus rejected and called children of the devil.

Both the founders of catholics and protestants agree with Jesus about these so-called jews.

You can't just call yourself a christian and then you are one.

[–]JasonCarswellVoluntaryist 2 insightful - 3 fun2 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 3 fun -  (1 child)

I'm talking in common parlance and that may be true. Humans are all paradoxes and hypocrites on many levels, consciously or not. Many Christians don't behave like Christians much, so it shouldn't be a surprise that they may hold opposing ideas at the same time. Further, many people call themselves and others things they are not.

[–]Dragonerne 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Its pretty misleading to call someone a sheep of Jesus when they believe those that Jesus rejected, rather call them wolves in sheeps clothing.

Christianity specifically forbids visiting the jewish synagogues and praying along with rabbis, which speaks volumes about all those evangelists.

[–]Jesus 3 insightful - 3 fun3 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 3 fun -  (0 children)

It's a Jewish cop-out.

Also, know that when I use the word Jew, I use it in the modern sense to mean Edomite, Khazar, etc. Modern Jewry is not semitic. Judahite is what they hijacked.
