I guess without Trump driving the DoJ with his sense of vengeance, the merits of the case start to be what matters.

I'm no fan of Bolton, nor of military intervention prior to absolute necessity to meet a present danger. And he wasn't going to get along with Trump, because he had an opinion, not based on Trumps whims (or, realistically, who was bribing him).

So the case against Bolton ends, not with a bang, but a whimper.
