Trump was an amazingly effective choice by the elites to destroy the right. Even now, after all the bullshit he's pulled, there are people who literally still support him!

Ever? Possibly, but I haven't looked that far back. They've been sellouts to business and 'other' interests for as long as I remember.

I think the further back you go, the less rightwing it gets. At the beginning, it was a party run in the interest of northern banking interests.
