The argument that you see here is being used by defense attornies as:

New evidence presented in the case of the fatal shooting of Ahmaud Arbery by father-son duo Gregory and Travis McMichael

But it won't work. Believe it or not, it's illegal to pursue people in a truck and shoot then like you were hunting wild game. He was unarmed, hadn't stolen anything, was not tresspassing, was not in the process of stealing anything, but most of all: he had every right to be jogging outside, and did not deserve to be murdered whilst doing so. Think of this happening while you're jogging.
