I'm sure a violent criminal will obey the curfew so that these women can feel safe

The crime that sparked this off was literally committed by an off duty cop, unlikely to be told to go home even if caught.

This idea actually originates from a thought experiment by feminist when the Yorkshire Ripper was around. Women were told to not go out after dark for their safety so they turned round and said men shouldn't go out after dark for women's safety instead. Obviously men kicked off just as its happening now. It exposed their hypocrisy.

Similar last week police in London told women to go stay in for their own safety and no men made a peep about how bad or unworkable it was so some feminists trotted out the same thought experiment.

But of course we are now living in woke times so some dumb politicians heard it, took it seriously and now thinking about it as an actual policy.

I think the politicians are dumb, but they vote for this because they know it's stupid and will cause more confusion to norms. And be just another failed policy to make political service seem difficult.
