If pedo is ok, then so is rape, both lack mutual consent because one side by definition is not capable of consent (i.e. crime victims and developing brains). In other words, anyone defending pedos is also trying to normalize rape. So yeah, no.

Actually, pedophilia is the urge. Where as child rape, child exploitation, child trafficking, child molestation are the crimes associated with it. When one over simplifies language, and thinks in short hand, this changes the definition of said words. These are the titles we should use for both standard criminals, and for the political cabal of child rapists, child molesters, and murderers, as it does not mask their crimes with misunderstandings.

Similarly, what you are outlining is the fact that pedophilia is an urge, and not an orientation, as that orientations, take place between consenting adults.

Now to outline why urges are not criminal. I once new a guy who owned a copy of Pocket Ninjas on VHS. Nothing criminal about that. No more than your mom owning a copy of The Blue Lagoon on Blue-ray. As I recall, my mother went to the premier of the movie, The Blue Lagoon, with my older sister.

Maybe something to keep an eye on though. Something you may ask him about, and to push back on to let him know that you find this behavior Questionable. Which is what a prudent member of a society does. Just as you may tell a friend not to try heroin, or to not bring a knife to a fist fight after school, rudely and insultingly if necessary. This keeps others in check. Just as our criminal justice system is meant to do. And as it turns out, the guy who owned that VHS had a criminal record. And it wasn't caused by his urges, but from his lack of self control. As his crime wasn't owning a Kids movie on VHS, and he had been sent to prison for statutory rape of an underage male he had lured into his apartment.

In the prison yard, this earned him the title of CHOMO. Which is a reference to the fact he was a child molester. Which is also a term much more difficult to normalize as an orientation. Just as rapist, trafficker, and exploitation can not be normalized. These are their criminal terms. And no amount of referencing religious doctrine , or physiological text books can get around this reality. These people are criminals. Call them by their criminal names.
