They did, with consent by the republicans. Cheating to win is still a win if the other party accepts it.

As that Q fellow said, "you're watching a show". What the Qtards failed to realize is he was talking about the entire political structure, including himself and his psyop.

Absolutely. Republicans are complicit. Except in the most local elections, I'll never vote R again. If that hands the big D the election then so be it. I'm sure the GOP is more than willing to blame voters like me for thier failures than actually become worth voting for.

Bannon and Jones want people to think that QAnon is a psyop, whereas Bannon and Jones are themselves part of a number of psyops that are manipulating social and altright news media. It's obvious that there are altright psyops spreading disinformation at places like Saidit and elsewhere.

It was obviously a psyop years ago. That article you linked is just another part of the show the elites are putting on to mesmerize and confuse the general pubic.

To be fair, it doesn't take much effort at all to control the thoughts and beliefs of the majority of people. Just look at the numbers of people who 'believe in' Trump, or get their instructions on what to believe from actors on television pretending to be comedians.

We agree on this, though dailydot.com is a reliable resource.

I just read that article, and it's as bad as something you'd find on thefreethoughtproject.

I wonder how that fairs state-by-state.

And as usual, ONLY disinformation at this website. Consider the facts:

On December 17, 2020, Gallup polling found that 31% of Americans identified as Democrats, 25% identified as Republican, and 41% as Independent. Additionally, polling showed that 50% are either "Democrats or Democratic leaners" and 39% are either "Republicans or Republican leaners" when Independents are asked "do you lean more to the Democratic Party or the Republican Party?

    Here's a better source.

Just because you lean Democrat, or even if you consider yourself a Democrat, that doesn't mean you don't want a third party. I'm sure AOC would leave the Democratic Party if a socialist party became viable, and Trump supporters would flock to the Patriot Party if it was formed.

Matter of fact, the sources states the following:

Independents are usually much more likely than Republicans or Democrats to favor a third political party, but in the current poll, Republicans are nearly as likely as independents to hold this view, 63% to 70%. That represents a dramatic shift for Republicans since last September when 40% favored a third party.

A pretty sizable majority of people who consider themselves Republicans want a third party — only three points away from two-thirds.

Yes - I agree. My initial concern was with the claim that only 25% identify as Democrats, which is absolutely false.

Yes, regarding those who would be happy with a 3rd party, I am in that category, and think Bernie could have won on that platform. The reason he's not run on a 3rd platform is because it takes votes away from Democrats, who would have lost the popular vote in the past two elections.

I was an Independant voter, but changed to Democrat after the abuses of the second Reagan term (taking money from Social Security, Iran/Contra, borrowing from China, establishing lobbying as an official channel and thus money in politics &c).

Independent candidates emerge with every election, thanks to the hypocracy of Repubs and Dems. But it's problematic because 3rd party candidates help minority candidates win. Ross Perot helped Clinton win with only 43% of the vote (Bush 37%, Perot 19%). So it is a good question, but needs qualification with the historical numbers: are we ready for a 3rd party?

Oh, I misunderstood what you where saying. It seems obvious in retrospect. But yeah, that part's a lie — or maybe they're just using another survey with different results, but considering the domain name... they probably just pulled the number out of their ass.

regarding those who would be happy with a 3rd party, I am in that category

Ah, same here. I actually made s/ThirdParty a while back, but haven't posted there in a while.

and think Bernie could have won on that platform.

    Mhm.

The reason he's not run on a 3rd platform is because it takes votes away from Democrats, who would have lost the popular vote in the past two elections.

Yeah, the Presidential election is heavily rigged in favor of the major parties. Third parties can do well locally, though, given they have adequate leadership — which they almost never do.

I was an Independant voter, but changed to Democrat after the abuses of the second Reagan term

I feel really young (because I am).

(taking money from Social Security, Iran/Contra, borrowing from China, establishing lobbying as an official channel and thus money in politics &c).

Yeah, Reagan was pretty bad. On top of that, he caused the 2008 recession by deregulating anything that moved. Yet he still won in a landslide...

Ross Perot helped Clinton win with only 43% of the vote (Bush 37%, Perot 19%).

Perot still managed to get a huge share of the vote. His major failures where:

    1. Forming the Reform Party too late

    2. Not getting name recognition first

So it is a good question, but needs qualification with the historical numbers: are we ready for a 3rd party?

We're always ready for a third party, but third parties aren't ready for us. What I mean, is that every current party is incapable of winning elections, because they have poor leadership and the wrong goals.

Honestly, I think third parties should ignore federal politics. It's a waste of time and resources, because you'll never even get five percent of the vote until you have momentum, and the only way to get momentum is to go local. It's a lot easier to run for and win local elections, especially in "safe" districts, where the other major party won't even run a candidate (like mine).

I'm honestly considering making a state-level political party. It seems crazy, but it's worked in the past: the Farmer—Labor Party of Minnesota, as well as the Readjuster Party of Virginia, managed to secure near complete dominance over their states for years, despite having very little to do with national politics.

I hope that made sense. I'm really tired right now, should probably be going to bed.
