They never think this through.

A lot of landlords have buy to let mortgages. If they don't pay these en masse, a shit load of investment funds will take a massive hit.

That's exactly what caused the credit crunch recession a few years ago, when a minor recession caused a massive default in the sub prime mortgages.

We were on shaky enough ground already.

Under this eviction moratorium, tenants who fail to pay their rent or mortgage are shielded from removal, so long as they submit a formal declaration to their landlords, proving their financial hardship is COVID-related.

That's a good fist step. Part two is sending out checks until the criss is over, no more big business bailouts.

If the FIRST stimulus went 100% to the people, it would have been $4,000 checks.

This ban is only for a few months.

without it, things would get much worse for the people whose businesses closed.

Those who can afford buying buildings should be supporting this + high checks going to poor folks IMMEDIATELY. Or their buildings may start going empty.
