Reminds me of Starship Troopers.
The books are much more revealing than the movie.

From the movie you can already see that the people exposed to a lot of propaganda.
They have a very totalitarian system, but you are allowed to join the government if you join the army.
Here is Arch talking about the lore.

Here is the movie:

I just picked the "military forces" image because it was the most mesmerizing (not "satisfying" - I hate when people misuse that word!) and potentially click-baity.

Too bad Starship Troopers wasn't... just better. I guess the book was revolutionary and heavily borrowed. I haven't read it.

The second video is blocked by "SonyPictures 2 in Canada on copyright grounds".

For years I've been arguing, as others have, that the US military is the largest socialist program in the world. All of this is not new - but the arrangement of words is. It was a lightning epiphany for me, considering this year's evolution and state of things - by their very definitions...

Fundamentally, ALL military forces are communist and totalitarian.

Nothing new to me except to put it in such simple clear shocking terms that can be easiiy defended. This is akin to the "mafia police" or "mafia government" that I've heard so often and is clearly true, except I've not heard this one before.

I'm amazed no one is trying to debate me on this. Maybe I should have posted at a better time.

I agree with the idea that militarism is linked with totalitarianism,
but maybe if you crosslink it in /s/debatealtright
you may get some other respond.

Great idea. I'm on that.

But not communism?

Military is mandatory. No one gets to vote where their tax dollars go. It's socialism. Extreme socialism. Totalitarian socialism. It's not a democracy for soldiers who have little recourse but to follow orders unquestioningly. Also extreme because they have no problems murdering people for "reasons".

Great statements about this on:
https://youtu.be/u5dZ21l4-98?t=195
He explains why only ex-military (citizens) are allowed to vote.
"You are excercising political authority.
You are using force. Force is voilence.
Violence from which all authority is derived"

So technically he is speaking about a fascistic system.

Neat quote.

I think you mean a totalitarian system.

Fascism = corporatocracy = corporations + government (+ most likely totalitarian).

I would like you to expand on these points: 1. What do you understand by Communism? 2. Is there any country in particular that comes to mind to represent communism? 3. How does this fit into this topic?

Thanks for engaging. I wasn't getting as much response as I'd hoped so I tried it elsewhere too:

/s/debatealtright/comments/7anr/fundamentally_all_military_forces_are_trained/

I explained it more there, but feel free to ask further questions.

2) Not nations nor their politics or ideologies. I mean:

All modern militaries are totalitarian communist structures.

3) How does what fit into what topic?

  1. Correction: 3. How does this(Communism) fit into this topic? I think I got the answer(or at least part of it) here: https://saidit.net/s/debatealtright/comments/7anr/fundamentally_all_military_forces_are_trained/rkqa
  2. Add the fact that it's socialism that funds the enterprise, but not just any socialism, extremely strict (totalitarian) socialism, aka communism. When you said totalitarian(totalitarianism), did you mean authoritarian(authoritarianism)? Source1; Source2; Source3
