Venezuela is going to take decades to get back to where it was.

Better to let them sort that out themselves rather than trying to fix it through regime change alone.

It's impossible to quick fix this. The oil industry alone needs years of investment just to be able to stop the decline.

If the US goes in you're going to be babysitting them for 30 years and getting the blame for everything which goes wrong in that time.
