Didn’t they shut it down because of CP, and rape?

If you think cp and rape should be protected under free speech then the problem is you.

The biggest names on newproject2 just moved right back to patreon (never left, actually), so no.

If you think that credit card companies and not law enforcement should investigate and punish crimes, then you've got something wrong with you.

I would agree in most cases, but rape, murder, CP, actual physical assault... I’m happy to let companies disallow their services to other companies who host that stuff.

I too enjoy letting megacorps be judge, jury, and executioner.

I look forward to the day when grocery stores stop letting us buy food if someone fabricates evidence that we once retweeted a rape joke.

You are right of course. Where I live, in very far-away Canada, a corporation can't fire an individual for pretty much anything they did on their own time. Commit a crime on the job: yes, they can fire you. Commit a crime after the shift ends: they can't touch you.

I was aghast when I read about that lady who worked for an investment bank get fired for being a shithead while walking her dog in Central Park, on her own time obviously. Just imagine having that kind of power over CUSTOMERS. It's utter insanity.
