So, basically, this is just them saying "orange man bad."

Pretty much. If they were in the orange man bad camp, it does make you wonder why they waited so long, though.

According to Forbes:

A rescission of Trump’s degree had been desired by Lehigh faculty members for years. In 2018, the university’s faculty voted overwhelmingly (296-50) for the board of trustees to rescind the degree based on several of Trump’s statements and actions that they viewed as violating the schools values. The trustees declined to do so.

It seems like they eventually gave in to pressure from faculty — which basically just means activist professors.
