The Democrats are becoming comfortable with the idea of a one-party state. I have family who have explicitly expressed this expectation and support the Democrats anyway. It's extremely depressing that doesn't scare more people than it does.

It terrifies me, because it will mean the destruction of the USA and replacing it with something else - a usurpation of the very principles of its founding.
