The thing I find crazy is that Biden supposedly got the most votes ever, of any presidential candidate ever in US history.

One could make the argument people vote against Trump more than for Biden, but that also happened in 2016 and no records were broken during that election.

Also it seems natural to assume that because of covid, less people would vote in general. Yet a national record is still set. I could be mistaken, but it kind of raises a red flag in my mind.

But at this point, months later, overturning the election results at the last minute would probably cause serious unrest. For the sake of continuity and national security (from the perspective of the people in charge) it might be impossible to overturn it at this point even if they wanted to, because otherwise there might be serious serious unrest problems. The media may have forced everyone's hand, in a way, regardless of what the actual truth of the matter is.

I think a good resolution to this mess would be for Trump to leave office to minimize public unrest, and then spend the next 4 years running a new news media company (TrumpTV or whatever) and also a legal company that works to improve election security for future elections.

Republicans have no interest in election security. The more people who legally vote, the less likely they are to win. Been true of nearly every election.

They may develop an interest in it when they're losing because of it...
