    The misunderstanding is on your end. That may ostensibly be why he claims to want to remove Section 230, but that would not be the end result. Section 230 prevents social media platforms from being liable for the content posted by their users. Without this protection, many independent sites such as Saidit may not be able to continue. The platform vs. publisher and moderation vs. absolute free speech arguments are red herrings.
