On December 1, 2017, Flynn and special counsel Robert Mueller agreed to a plea bargain in the District of Columbia's U.S. District Court. In the agreement, Flynn pleaded guilty to "willfully and knowingly" making "false, fictitious and fraudulent statements" to the FBI regarding conversations with Russia's ambassador. In the Statement of the Offense to which Flynn agreed, he said he falsely denied that on December 29, 2016 he asked Russia's ambassador to the United States Sergey Kislyak "to refrain from escalating ... in response to sanctions that the United States had imposed against Russia that same day."[174] Flynn's guilty plea acknowledged that he was cooperating with the Mueller investigation, and it was accepted by the court.

Agreed regarding the 'bureaucrat lifers', of which McConnell and his cronies are much bigger criminals than Trump could every hope to be.
