If you read those studies, then you know that masks are essential. WTF are you on about...

Oh great, that's all we need is another low Iq propaganda guzzler.

A disappointingly underwhelming reply. Since you need others to tell you what to think, it would follow you need others to tell you what to say as well.

Are we talking about the truth, and science? If 100% of scientists have proven the ways in which the spread of COVID19 can be reduced (masks, testing quarantine, &c), is it OK for me to listen to them? Should I listen to someone who provides no scientific evidence for his/her claims? Should I also value illogical assessments and accusations? Do you want a society run by people who can say and do anything without any reason or justification? Wouldn't that lead to an authoritarian polity in which only the wealthy .01% control everything? Would any of that benefit you?

Absolutely. (I'm surprised to read this sensible argument on this website. And much of the West has already sold to the East.)

What many of the dumbasses don't realize is that when their shit sinks many businesses here, the Chinese are just going to buy everything up.

And that may have been the plan all along. I knew this was coming for years. It's a shame. We can only go up from here, I guess. Shit was out of control for too long, TBH.

A lot of the problem with capitalist nations is that it weakens the power of the government to make big business powerful. People are led to believe they are empowered and run things when in fact, it's the corporations that really run the show. China knew this and took advantage of that. You have an uneducated population who have been conditioned to believe they don't need to listen to authority anymore; this was pretty much the result.

Things are changing a LOT after COVID is over. Hopefully, Americans still will have a say about how things are run.

About flu, but covid1984 is 25 microns larger, so read that section on masks and if yew need more, I can provide another link from a scientific body.

Amazing how any of you cocksuckers that defend masks can never back up your fat mouth with any evidence. Worse than my neighbors kids.

(And try not to be so defensive, as this obviously shows a lack of knowledge and confidence.)

so neat. wasn't being defensive. maybe you're confusing me for someone else. all i got from that link is 'Use of Masks to Help Slow the Spread of COVID-19'

no study, scientific evidence, no links to anything. no data. just propaganda.

ok, just a little defensive...just upset too many are completely brainwashed by the jootube

Excellent - "mask wearing mitigates transmission"

    So we agree?

    [–]screwballeclipsed 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (2 children)

that's cute. read the first sentence of a study and assume that's the conclusion of the study.

your link was written by some cow that has a degree in writing.

    conclusion (from my link above):

The recommendation to wear surgical masks to supplement other public health measures did not reduce the SARS-CoV-2 infection rate among wearers by more than 50% in a community with modest infection rates

    from canadian health source:

    https://d3926qxcw0e1bh.cloudfront.net/post_photos/d8/67/d8671995ec7240b0db39001cac0eb6da.jpeg

quote: general purpose disposable surgical face masks are not specifically designed to protect the wearer from airborne infectious particulates

    or from the cdc:

    https://wwwnc.cdc.gov/eid/article/26/5/19-0994_article

quote: One study evaluated the use of masks among pilgrims from Australia during the Hajj pilgrimage and reported no major difference in the risk for laboratory-confirmed influenza virus infection in the control or mask group (33). Two studies in university settings assessed the effectiveness of face masks for primary protection by monitoring the incidence of laboratory-confirmed influenza among student hall residents for 5 months (9,10). The overall reduction in ILI or laboratory-confirmed influenza cases in the face mask group was not significant in either studies

now, yew have to ask yourself, in the past, many studies have confirmed masks don't work, but all of the sudden a few studies appear that masks do work? really? i would provide another source from oxford, but joogle scrubbed it.

    [–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Thank you - though I wonder why you try to locate the .01% of evidence that might refute the 99.99% of evidence that masks are essential for the prevention of the spread of COVID19. It's like you are a very good researcher, but only wish to do this to refute the abundantly obvious.

    [–]screwballeclipsed 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

though I wonder why you try to locate the .01% of evidence that might refute the 99.99% of evidence

quit being a joo. i provided sources from 2 govt agencies and you from a journalist with a writing degree and another govt. agency both recently published to further an agenda.

the latest study shows masks don't work. past studies has shown masks don't work. with a little critical thinking, maybe one could question why all of the sudden there are studies that masks work? maybe to further an agenda?

take a look at this: in the united states, every past election cycle since 2004 has had some virus to scare people. maybe one would think it is setting the general public up for something? 2004 had SARS, 2008 had avian flu scare, 2010 swine flu, 2012 MERS, 2014....ebola(see the election pattern?), 2016...zika, 2018 ebola again, 2020-my sharona(no, no pattern at all) just coincidences, right?

ask yourself this: if masks work, why social distance? if social distance works, why did everything have to be shut down? why are governors from chicago, california and new jersey all caught out at family functions with no mask and no social distancing, but the rest of us have to be quarantined? maybe it's the great reset many have been talking about. i'm going to stop now cuz i know this is a lot for your pretty little head.
