Same thing in the US, I got a special agent sent to my house for some random bad joke I made about a President. Sarcastic joke. Guy acted like I was on the Top Ten Most Wanted List.

Cops shouldn't be defunded, but some of shit they investigate needs to be so they can make better use of their resources. There is an incentive for the legal system to find ways to turn innocent people into criminals so they can profit. Many of these idiots would be useless to society otherwise.
