I think this border stuff is a bullshit wedge issue, but how can the military or pentagon deny Trump's request? Was is a soft request that was meant to be denied so that Trump looks like he's being held back on doing the right thing?

This whole migrant caravan thing stinks to high heaven of "political theatre". Nothing about this whole thing makes any sense.
