Is the polling industry and the media's data gurus who feed off of it going to gaslight everyone again and unite to insist that there's absolutely nothing wrong with their craft and that anyone who suggests this is just ignorant, uneducated and irrational?

@lietux

Paper elections are the only way to ensure a safe and trustworthy election, yet the U.S. works hard against that in every way imaginable.

It's pretty sad.

What they've done will ensure focus on this election for years to come. It is eminently clear that the signal/noise ratio is now hopelessly out of control. Both sides (but more clumsily and extremely obviously the Democrats) have added so much noise to the system (games they are playing corrupting the voter information/voting/counting process) that determining a genuine legitimate result becomes impossible. The only thing that seems clear from living through this is that the country is truly split close to 50/50, and neither of the sides is willing to acknowledge the other side's legitimacy. That's not a good recipe for harmony...

The truth is every country have the same shit on different levels of awful.

In the UK we set up an independent election commission and that seemed to stop a lot of the worst of it. And every study into election corruption and fraud here showed both sides were as bad as each other.

If you let politicians decide what's fair they will always leave loopholes thinking only they will use them then get pissed when the other side do it.
