Not sure. There is going to be a lot of hunger in China this winter though. I'm thinking that it'l fester over the winter and there will be a real push to restore China's relations with the world by overthrowing the CCP.
Hell US should issue a statement that if the people overthrow CCP we will provide food aid to China. I have more than a few cans of food that really should be eaten this year, and I'd have no problems donating them.

That's absolute nonsense. There's no incoming famine at all. I know. I work in China.
As to China being an existential threat, it definitely is but it's already on the way to winning the geopolitical struggle, unfortunately.
