It's how kratom was kept federally legal. People and businesses (and probably foreign gov) put together big money to form a lobby, the American Kratom Association.

Then you have CBD, which is big money right now, getting fucked every which way and the vendors are too... cheap? to band together and actually protect their business with their own lobby. They count on people writing their congressmen, like that works.

It doesn't help that legal cbd flower is indistinguishable from illegal marijuana without a lab test. That was big, easy money for the gov't but not so much now when they need labs that not every state has to test it, and just having to test it...

I do like how Trump fucks with the status quo, imagine being a career politician and suddenly your highly paid, high power job involves dealing with an assclown. It's almost enough to make me vote for him. Although my vote is only symbolic, my district is red by a long shot. Really I just want the "I voted" sticker. I stuck the last one on my phone case and covered it with nail varnish. Worked okay, but it's still looking a little ratty and I could use a new one.

The polls ain't looking so good for Trump, but they didn't back in 2016 either. Problem is more liberals take polls than the MAGA crowd, who presumably are too busy having sex with their cousins to fill out polls.
