Trump declares there will be no stimulus legislation until he is re-elected, but SCOTUS appointment still moving along. This is a wise decision that has no chance to backfire and in no way suggests that Trump lacks any real empathy for the tens of millions of workers who are struggling right now.

When Trump saw how he was getting universally bashed for this one he backpedaled so hard that he put out a tweet the very next day calling to get a bill passed.

Crazy, but it's almost like I was right, and announcing that you were going to let unemployed people lose their homes really wasn't the smartest move.
