I'm 95% on board with you. I'm especially pissed about the WP open-source article scientism censorship.

The mental gymnastics it takes to twist yourself into knots justifying all the "authorities'" shit is evidence of 1) a shill (knowing or unknowingly), 2) very effective but never bulletproof dogma, and/or 3) a person might be about to break free of the brainwashing.

Regardless if he's a "shill" or not, name calling doesn't help. It alienates those who want a civil forum, and without providing the proof every time you make such an extraordinary claim it reflects poorly. I prefer a more descriptive form of name-calling: "He's an unskeptical authority-believing nay-sayer." It's a little longer but doesn't carry the baggage and clearly explains my beefs.

I call out the shills to give the decent folks an unambiguous heads-up.

I think that's a very valuable service to the community.

I suspect it would be even more valuable and deeply respected if presented with evidence and tact, if at all possible.

It would be easy enough to start a page https://saidit.net/wiki/index#wiki_saidit_wiki_subpages to keep track of individuals and evidence if needed. Few folks bother with the wikis and prefer to start new subs that don't amount to much.

A guard dog with teeth to back up the bark is far more effective.
