This is what I don't get: Democrats support taking money from those who can afford it and giving it to those who need it most. And it doesn't matter if you "deserve" it or not, it's a simple matter of taking from the rich and giving to the poor. It's a sacred principle that goes very deeply into the beliefs of the Left.

How does this suddenly get switched around? How do you betray your values like that? It's a switch on the order of "We have always been at war with Eurasia."

No, I said let's see how the red states do without the federal dollars paid in by the blue states. Blue states pay more in taxes yet receive less federal money. Red states pay less taxes and receive more federal money.
