I don't think most care. They treat politics like a soap opera. If poor areas go up in flames that's just a more interesting plot line to them. Sure, they'll cry over those people just like they cry over their favorite TV characters but they won't help them. They won't act to make life more boring, it's against their interests.

I've noticed things have gone quiet in the past week or so. I think the money behind the protesters has figured out they were shooting themselves in the foot and has taken a step back to reassess. So... magic: it gets quiet.

It's never about the people on the streets. It's about the people funding the people on the streets.

    [–]Jesus 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

Lots of the protestors are not protestors but paid agent provocateurs. There was a fed telling BLM to march over where the Jewish provocateurs were, nearly a month ago.

They do this crap all the time and the right and left fall for it

Allen Dulles in a declassified letter, which Michelle Metta recieved via foia illustrated that the CIA and Orient freemasons in Italty, as corporations, hited thousands of provocateurs to bomb and fight people in the streets, anyone, to delegitimize, socialism and communism. They even would bomb innocent people to scare people to the right.

    The right and left suck.

The nights might be getting cooler so they want to stay indoors. In the west with the fires they might not want to be outside as it is hard to breath with the smoke. I remember in 2011 with Occupy Wall St I think everyone figured everyone would go home once winter arrived, when it was clear they wouldn't that is when the FBI and homeland security stepped in to take them down.

Because only Trump can save us from the mess he created.

    [–]HegeMoney 14 insightful - 3 fun14 insightful - 2 fun15 insightful - 3 fun -  (34 children)

Trump forced the protestors to riot?

    [–]flush_the_turd 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (30 children)

You are really thick headed. Trump didn't force them to riot, but what has he done to help stop it? Threaten them with violence. Hows that working out. Trump doesn't do anything unless it benefits him.

    [–]SaidOverRed 9 insightful - 1 fun9 insightful - 0 fun10 insightful - 1 fun -  (5 children)

You mean slow diffusal and arrests? That's the only thing that can be done. Well, unless you want to give into the mob and encourage more of such activity, aka terrorism (violence for political ends).

    [–]flush_the_turd 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (4 children)

We should elect this Trump guy. It seems like he'd be able to stop it.

    [–]SaidOverRed 7 insightful - 1 fun7 insightful - 0 fun8 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

Elect him to what, governor of every state? You know America has sovereign states, right? We don't have a king that can just force whatever.

Although, that does remind me of when the left lost their minds (again) for Trump mentioning declaring a state of emergency and throwing the national guard at Portland if the entire city 'falls' to antifa. That was a good news cycle; so much 'reeee he's a dictator!' talk.

    [–]flush_the_turd 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (2 children)

We don't have a king? Trump sure acts like he is. Where are these Antifa terrorists everyone is crying about? Antifa is a boogeyman used to scare people into voting for Trump. If you vote for Trump don't bother replying. I have no time to talk to brick walls.

    [–][deleted] 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

so are you anti anti fa then

    [–]SaidOverRed 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

In the off-chance that you're not trolling, I'll put up the chaz as a good example. Due to the fusion with BLM, the St. Loius couple is another. Those Ken and Karen memes are great.

Because only Trump can save us from the mess he created.

How exactly did he initiate the unrest?

You are really thick headed. Trump didn't force them to riot, but what has he done to help stop it?

I don't see many options available to him.

He can't send the military uninvited.

The Democrats are pushing to defund the police.

It certainly looks like the Democrats want him to win.

One world think the Democrat leadership would be eager to criticize all of the looting, arson, separatist movements, and any excuses for federal marital law.

Instead, they have doubled down on the unrest.

    [–]flush_the_turd 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (12 children)

Do you even understand what is meant by 'defund the police'? Doesn't sound like it. It sounds like you heard some bullshit on fox, or oann or rush, and believed that.

    [–][deleted] 6 insightful - 2 fun6 insightful - 1 fun7 insightful - 2 fun -  (2 children)

words literally mean to defund the police, get a better slogan if it's not true, just like it looks bad how you're against the statement all lives matter. You can't be against those words.

    [–]flush_the_turd 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

When did Biden say he wants to defund the police?

    [–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Well I have to assume all those that want to defund the police will vote Biden. Then probably get dismayed when he acts like Obama as prez, a conservadem. Especially with conservative Harris as vp. But BLM said that. Like this thread is about tho, it hurts Biden, and is likely to cause a Trump win. Not just cuz of that foolish, shortsighted slogan. Mainly cuz of the looting.

    [–]HegeMoney 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (8 children)

Do you even understand what is meant by 'defund the police'? Doesn't sound like it.

It's difficult to say for sure.

Please explain your understanding of "what is actually meant by 'defund the police'".

    [–]flush_the_turd 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (7 children)

Cut funding to police depts. Not cut it off completely.

    [–]PencilPusher55 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (6 children)

So... cut funding to Police departments in high crime areas? Lol. Why not train them better? Bunch of rich white Liberals in my area supporting defund the police. Meanwhile, they live in a crime free town. But I'm glad poor people get to have no police.

    [–]flush_the_turd 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

You don't even try to understand the concept. Typical cuckpublican.

You don't even try to understand the concept.

How are all of these problems fixed by eliminating all funding for police officers?

    [–]bobbobbybob 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

    'reeeeeeeeeeeeeeee'

    [–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

It's not an issue of training, the unfortunate reality is the kind of people who want to be police are generally the exact kind of people who shouldn't have that power.

I heard an interesting idea though, mandatory civil service. So everyone has a hand in policing their own communities. It'd sure cut down on this us vs them mentality.

    [–]justjoggin 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

sorry, its a generic scottish insult. "go boil ya hey ya bampot", to be precise. Head boiling is #1 in the insult list :D "https://www.pri.org/stories/2014-09-18/glossary-scottish-insults"

Ah, you meant the second bit. sorry.

      [–]Jesus 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

      /u/magnora7 advocates killing human beings.

      [–]bobbobbybob 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (2 children)

to be fair, killing human beings is legal within the structures of war and state punishment, so advocating for legal execution of criminals is not outside the bounds of normal civilizational decency, just faggot leftists utopia visions, where all the bad guys miraculously stop being murderous cunts just because you bent over and let them fuck you raw.

      [–]Jesus 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Okay Ziocon. How about you stop advocating killings that would be great.

Oh it was Trump who created the burning cities mess not the Democratic mayors and governors of those states and cities who refused to let the police and National Guard do their jobs.

      [–]flush_the_turd 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (11 children)

Think you forgot who the president is. Trump wants the blue cities to burn. He only cares about the red states and he's proven that.

      [–]insta 8 insightful - 1 fun8 insightful - 0 fun9 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

Trump wants the blue cities to burn.

As much as I agree Trump isn't doing shit about the protests it really is a no-win situation for him. If he sends in federal troops to crack down he's accepting all responsibility. If they come in too weak he's going to get blasted for it and it they crack down to hard he's going to get blasted for it.

As cynical and immoral as it may be the best move does seem to be let cities that never vote for him burn down and let the people in the suburbs watch as leftist grievance hustling reaches it's obvious conclusion.

      [–]flush_the_turd 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Nobody ever said the job is easy. He'll be criticized no matter what he does. But he took an oath to protect ALL Americans, not just the ones that will vote for him.

      [–]insta 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

But that's the lens of realpolitik unfortunately. Like I said, it is immoral but it is a political advantageous thing to do. It does bring up an interesting conundrum though. Do you bother saving the people who will hate you for doing so? Let's say the Trump brownshirts come into Portland to restore order and crack skulls and in the conflict they do kill like five more unarmed (apparently that just means innocent to some people) people. Would that actually help the situation there?

I will say Trump has done some pants-on-head retarded decisions but how he's handling these riots is honestly pretty politically savvy. He offers help to mayors he knows will reject it then lets the cities reap the consequences. How many times does Trump need to say "All they have to do is gimme a call, they have to ask" before the blame is no longer on him?

      [–]LesbianOutlaw 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

The suburbs aren't being spared either though. Kenosha is a suburb and it's been one of the hardest hit. And then the local police forces and district attorneys have the audacity to arrest people for defending their towns.

Kenosha isn't really a "blue city." Kenosha County voted for Trump in 2016.

      [–]insta 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

The suburbs aren't being spared either though.

Obviously #NotAll, but out of the most populous 50 cities 48 of them have seen BLM riots. If we go down that list, the overwhelming majority are going to be cities that voted blue. The fact that there's some collateral damage in the suburbs does not negate my point.

Again, your whole point here is just an outlier.

      [–]copenseethe 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

Every time he is in front of a camera he repeats and repeats his offer to send federal troops to the cities being targeted by antifa and BLM riots. Are you going to tell me you wouldn't object if he sent them in without permission of the governors?

      [–]SaidOverRed 5 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 0 fun6 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I would. States rights are a thing. Leftist shitholes are allowed to be leftist shitholes. The problem is when they lyse out into red states. Slightly left voters didn't stop this from happening, and they will repeat the cycle in new areas.

      [–]flush_the_turd 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Look how well that worked in Portland.

      [–]Druullus 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

      What?

Aren't there authorities in those cities/states?

      [–]PencilPusher55 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

He wants them to burn so much, in fact - that when he kept offering support to stop the rioting and looting, everyone turned him away.

      [–]Druullus 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

How did he create the mess?

      [–]flush_the_turd 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

He might not have created it, but he's fanning the flames. He doesn't give a shit because it's Democratic cities burning. Apparently he's only president of the red cities/states.

      [–]Druullus 5 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 0 fun6 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Someone else are in charge of law enforcement in those cities/states, they can ask for help if they can't handle it!
