    Sorta with you. Honestly it was a bad situation made worse because he didn't comply. In hindsight did it warrant him being shot, Maybe Not. But in the moment, yea, You could argue both sides. Just look at the Daniel Clary shooting video, Almost the same scenario. As for bodycams they are prohibitively expensive for lot of departments. I know for the California Highway patrol ( State troopers), Only ONE office ( Oakland) in the entire state has bodycams for their troopers. Biggest problem is cost for storing all that video. How do you store hours of HD video for each officer, each shift, for years (which is required for evidence).

    Unlawful commands? Are you an idiot or a libtard? (I repeated myself).

    When a cop tells you to do something, YOU DO IT. If it's unlawful, we have a court system in place. One thing NOBODY has the right to do is put others in potential danger by ignoring clear commands. Keeping our officer's safe is a top priority.

    I think BLM, soros, democrats, that alliance etc, want to reverse that way of thinking. And I almost kind of get it. It does suck that you have to comply with police even if unlawful. That can be abused. But all these examples we have of a black man getting killed, you always see they did illegal things and they should have complied. I know cops are sometimes corrupt and illegally stop someone but I just never see examples of that. Back with rodney king, the first example of this I remember, he was drunk driving and speeding and it's good they arrested him, he could have killed innocents. Maybe back in the 60s black men were wrongly killed but since then not really.

    That white man that was shot in the back and the head over a noise complaint is one example. The guy did nothing wrong and now he's dead. Black people are the reason our police are so jumpy and militarized, but the fact remains that our police are jumpy and militarized and shouldn't be trusted, regardless of your race. They shoot more whites than blacks after all, despite the massive disparity in crime.

    even then that white guy answered the door holding a gun. I don't blame cops there. To me that is similar to the guy here who doesn't comply with cops and goes to his car to get something out of the glove compartment except there there was no doubt he had a gun.

    He answered the door holding the gun because the knock happened during hours when no reasonable person would be knocking on your door, and in addition to that they hid themselves to avoid identification after knocking. When he saw it was the police he immediately got on his knees and moved to put the gun on the ground. They killed him anyway. If that doesn't infuriate you you're hopelessly brainwashed. Police shouldn't be empowered to shoot whenever they see a gun regardless of whether someone is complying or not, and if they are empowered to do so then they have no one to blame but themselves when potential victims of police violence start shooting whenever we see police. They must want war in the streets because that's what policy like this creates.

    People shouldn't be killed for having loud music, even if black. The cops hid, he couldn't see them out of the window or the peephole, he had no way of knowing it was the police.

    I guess at a push they could argue that if he is going to his car then they don't know if he might have a gun in there or not. But that's petty much the only defence.

    Edit: OK so now people are saying he could have been carrying a knife but that doesn't count as armed???

    Yes knives count as armed and knives are very deadly. 2016 a CHP in SF officer was stabbed in the torso and neck, nearly missing a major artery. Heck a few years ago an SFPD officer was sent to the ICU in critical condition from being hit on head with a skateboard. I think we tend to forget that a gun isn't the only deadly weapon. As for him going for a gun, I think they did end up finding one on the floor board.

    Go search for and watch the Daniel Clary Shooting video without pausing or fast forwarding it. I think it illustrates well the unknown dangers police have to deal with.

    Also, do police in the US not carry tasers? Here in Canada I have seen police with both guns and tasers on their belts. Seems like a lot of these shootings could be avoided with a good zap!
