Biden supported segregation, but African Americans still vote for him. Talk about irony.

I find this quote quite relevant to the current situation.

The white liberal is the worst enemy to America, and the worst enemy to the black man... Getting sympathy of the Negro, getting the allegiance of the Negro, and getting the mind of the Negro. Then the Negro sides with the white liberal, and the white liberal use the Negro against the white conservative. So that anything that the Negro does is never for his own good, never for his own advancement, never for his own progress, he’s only a pawn in the hands of the white liberal.

Malcolm X also supported segregation/separation though.

Yes, and I disagree with him on that issue, but on the issue of white liberals, I agree.

But this is given by the US political and election system, which is based on single-member districts and the "first-past-the-post" principle. This results in situation when large part of population has no real political representation. This could work only when 85% of US population were white people of European origin willing to join American white society culture, moral, social rules and ideals to integrate into the "American nation" and when other people were marginalized unorganized crowd mostly surviving from day to day. In 1960s it was necessary (but impossible) to change the political system, first elections and the party system to get beter multi-party representation in the Congress at least in the House of Representatives.
