Also worth noting how even the confession and apology isn't the end. It merely emboldens the inquisition to escalate their accusations.

Communism is the final form of evil.

In 1969 he published the first part of The Life and Extraordinary Adventures of Private Ivan Chonkin, a satirical novel about a Russian soldier during World War II. It was followed two years later by a second part.[1] At the outset of the Brezhnev stagnation period, Voinovich's writings stopped being published in the USSR, but continued publishing in samizdat[7] and in the West. In 1974, the authorities began a systematic harassment of Voinovich due to his writing and his political attitude.[1] Voinovich was excluded from the Soviet Writers' Union the same year.[6] His telephone line was cut off in 1976 and he and his family were forced to emigrate in 1980, being stripped of his citizenship.

Seems like he hit pretty close to the bone, even if it was 'fiction'.

In true internet style I didn't actually read the article, just the title, and was prepared to be furious. So thank you for pointing that out.

It's written by a man who lived his life under that system, and is writing a description of what it's like. Please read the whole thing.

If it was wrong, why did they censor him? Do you know what samizdat was?

Of course it's fiction? But it's a fictional rendition of events that happened many, many times in the far left dominated country. It's a stand-in for any number of real cases that can be easily found.

Oh, you can read minds? That's an amazing ability! Can you do it again? Can you tell me what I had for breakfast?

Wrong answer, it was ceasar salad.

If you can't read minds, don't tell other people what they're thinking.

Do you have anything to add regarding the accurate description of life under far left rule?

“Comrades, everyone knows that our social system is the most humane in the world. But our humanism is of the militant and activist kind. It is not expressed in mawkish sentiment and universal forgiveness, but in a ruthless war on all manifestations of hostile ideas. Right now, for instance, we have standing before us a pathetic man who is mumbling something, and it would be a natural human impulse to take pity on him, to feel compassion. But think about it: he felt no compassion for us.

It's cancel culture in action, but with the backing of a fully armed government facing a disarmed population.

Lmao Chipshit did the same thing when I shut his attempt to argue about a month ago. He doesn't believe in debate, he believes in ruffling feathers until someone bites and then does the whole "oh you can read minds" until they get frustrated enough to stop the discussion and claims he "won"

My point for his other post was similar. He lies (cops poisoned by shake shack employees) with a sensationalized headline, hopes to drag people into mud so he can shout "BUT MUH PYRAMID OF DEBATE" as he dodges your legitimate questions (response article ON THE SAME WEBSITE saying the officers admitted that the shakes tasted weird so they threw them away but the burgers and fries were fine) and then he adds more bullshit to the discussion to distract you from the fact that he did exactly what the MSM does every day. Lie to get you leaning in a specific directions.

Don't be surprised if he tosses the "liberals are idiots" study at you too. I'm not a liberal by ANY means but apparently that was his way of attacking my character instead of addressing my retorts....

All of his arguments are built on divisiveness but good forbid you point it out or it turns into him throwing a tantrum.

everyone needs to read about the russian revolution or the cultural revolution so that these radicals never gain any grounds again.

I thought this was going to be about the comedy/tragedy that was Chaz.
