I wish the world's largest socialist project would die - the US military.

So do you actually think that without a military the US would be perfectly safe from foreign powers?

Grants already exist for those who need them. Public colleges already exist with subsidized tuition. People who spend more money on college degrees than those degrees are worth are the only people in "life-long debt" and they do that because they are stupid. You can't fix stupidity by making those degrees free, all that will happen is that the cost is passed on to less stupid people who would otherwise spend that money more wisely and make the country better. The stupid people will simply make excuse after excuse for their failure and go in for degree after degree; learning nothing of value and wasting 10x more than they otherwise could.

There is absolutely zero evidence to show that those countries with free college gain anything of value for it, and a mountain of evidence that they have fewer start ups and less innovation.

If college is worth the money than no public funding is needed. If it is not worth the money then we should not be funding it with public money because anyone stupid enough to waste money on it should be the one who suffers the consequences of their stupidity and no one else.

    If the job that requires the degree is worth getting the degree for than by definition you are earning enough to pay for that degree. Why should I pay for your degree so that you can earn more money?

    Stop blaming your parents for your own stupid decisions. Adults go to college, not kids. You are responsible for your own decisions. The internet exists now so you have no excuse for your own ignorance about the results of these decisions.

    My source is the fact that communist countries fall into poverty after cannibalizing the fruits of the capitalist societies they destroyed. They don't produce nobel prize winners. They don't produce innovation. They don't advance science. The don't enrich their countries or people. They can't even maintain the same standard of living as has been developed before free education, let alone improve it in any way.

    Your oversimplified blanket statements paint EVERYONE with the same brush. That is not only simple-minded but it lacks any nuance or critical thinking. It's the egalitarian thinking most rational people despise when individual fairness is required. Everyone's situation is different. Parents, family, generations, society, economics, employment, school, culture, opportunities, and fucking everything in the Universe is ever changing and different. Everyone inherits different evolving circumstances and has to make the best of what they have. Not everyone is lucky the first, second, or even third chance they get - but continue to try they must. Not only is it not just the parents (who you brought up) it's the entire world that is both to blame and to credit for all the good and bad things that happen to you. Maybe your parents were status quo supporters, or ineffective activists, or game-changers - was it enough or too much?

    See above. Also, where are all the iPhones manufactured? You can't advance if you don't have manufacturing to build upon. Also, while the biolabs were shut down in the US, the funding was sent to China to set up their bioweapons labs in Wuhan among other places. Sure Coronavirus may have come from China, but it was funded by the US. Both were advancing their evil science and now both are pushing their corrupt scientism. Part of the deal.

    This is wrong. You are trying to make arguments with exceptions. I acknowledge that the exceptions exist; I also recognize that they are exceptions. You don't seem to understand what that means. You seem to think that the only way to be nuanced is to act as though the exceptions are the rule.

    Everyone's situation is different.

    And yet you make generalized claims about how they are victims and not responsible for the costs they incurred. The reality is, and you implicitly accept it, that generalizations can be made; and in fact need to be made to have any conversation at all. Then you want to turn around and claim that my generalization, and somehow only my generalization, must be wrong because of infinite variability of people. THIS IS NOT LOGICAL OR REASONABLE.

    You can't steal wealth from the poor. Capitalism CREATES WEALTH. Even if it is by forcing people to work harder than they normally would, and even if (not saying it is true) the workers are stripped of their products; it is capitalism that got them to make those things VOLUNTARILY. Communism needs to force people to work like slaves at the end of a gun barrel because when everything you get is given to you and everything you create is taken from you NO ONE WANTS TO WORK. It is retarded to think anyone would do any work what so ever when they have everything given to them, and working does nothing but take away their time. And when no one works WEALTH IS NOT CREATED.

    Oh how convenient. But true or not they don't produce the things that those awards purport to recognize. The Nobel prize comes after the discovery or innovation, and it is that discovery and innovation that does not get produced under communism.

    It is widely known that most of the technology of the soviet union was stolen through espionage. Including nuclear tech and rocket tech, which was based on stolen tech from Nazi Germany. But there you go again trying to use an exception to argue against the rule. As a rule the US is far more innovative than Russia. Soviet or otherwise.

    You are contradicting yourself. The Phones are produced NOT INVENTED in china under the direction of American inventors. Yet it is China and not America that has all the factories and yet America is inventing and not China.

    The millionaires in Russia get their wealth from natural resources, not technology. And again you are using exceptions to argue against the rule. The rule is that people in Russia and China are far poorer than in capitalist countries.

    The proof is every country that went from capitalism to socialism or communism. The common man's standard of living goes up for a short time until the money that was "socialized" by the government is spent. Then the quality of live plummets to all new lows. Every. Single. Time. What is stupid is how you can willfully overlook all the evidence and make such a statement that is literally the opposite of the truth.
