    43 states issued lockdown orders (and some of the cities in the few states that didn't also issued their own lockdown orders). A good chunk of those states are dominated by Republican politicians. Do you honestly mean to tell me that you think the majority of Republicans also have it out for Trump?

      The fact that the virus was (and is) still around is what kept it going.

        The virus was never going to disappear by locking down.

        That you think I was saying that it would is an invention of your own imagination. Accusing me of lying over something I never said is particularly obnoxious.

        Hospitals getting overwhelmed (and thus increasing fatality rates) are an obvious consequence of ending the shutdowns with most people still not infected.

        It will remain that way until a sufficient number of people become immune to where we have "herd immunity", or we find an effective way to fight the virus.
