Committing the fraud would be the dirty trick. I've seen Trump whining about possible election fraud on social media and my assumption was this comic was supposed to support that argument. I was responding by saying there's no reason to think the Biden team would try to pull something like that anyways. The question of whether they would even try something like that aside, there is zero need to if Biden goes into the elections with a large lead in the polls like this, as he's going to win anyways.

We don't know how the next 90 days will go, and they're throwing everything they've got at the wall. I mean, they just obliterated the economy to hurt Trump's reelection chances.

Shutdowns weren't about hurting Trump, they were about slowing the spread of COVID-19. You can argue that for them hurting Trump was a bonus, but if this were really political, you wouldn't have had most red states also instituting lockdowns.

43 states issued lockdown orders (and some of the cities in the few states that didn't also issued their own lockdown orders). A good chunk of those states are dominated by Republican politicians. Do you honestly mean to tell me that you think the majority of Republicans also have it out for Trump?

The fact that the virus was (and is) still around is what kept it going.

The virus was never going to disappear by locking down.

That you think I was saying that it would is an invention of your own imagination. Accusing me of lying over something I never said is particularly obnoxious.

Hospitals getting overwhelmed (and thus increasing fatality rates) are an obvious consequence of ending the shutdowns with most people still not infected.

It will remain that way until a sufficient number of people become immune to where we have "herd immunity", or we find an effective way to fight the virus.
