I wish we could learn the amounts they settled for.

As for myself, I would have went to court over this. I'm sure there is a clause in the settlement that prevents the news organizations from having to admit fault. For me that would be my principal goal to come from this, even if it ment a reduced settlement.

I understand his choice to settle. At 18 and the amount he is getting it would be impossible to turn down.

FYI, reminds me of a movie called "flash of genius" where The Ford motor company stole a wiper technology from an inventor. It was amazing what Ford was willing to do/pay so they didn't have to admit fault. Great movie.
