Death at the worst? Then you are definitely authorized to use the gun.

Depends on the racial component though. If a black person is beating a white person to death, they aren't allowed to use a gun in self defense. But, it's still better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6.

The problem is, open carry is illegal in New York, and the counties NYC is located in don't allow concealed carry either. This means you practically can't own a gun there. She would have been thrown in prison for exercising her 2nd amendment right.

Sorry guys. I’ve checked and rebelling against tyranny is illegal - George Washington

Do it anyways! Hopefully after more events like this people will realize what the Constitution is for, but probably not.

True, but the solution is fixing those laws, and reverting back to the constitution. As opposed to become weaker and more reliant on government to MAYBE save you from a violent threat.

Good luck fixing the way New York as a state runs though.

I'm happy I live in one of the last states to uphold the 2nd amendment (Arkansas). I feel sorry for all the people in blue states, because they'll probably never get their freedoms back unless they move.

Well.. then she must not have been shot and everything is hunky-dorry since guns aren't allowed there. Thank god for the politicians who protect us.

Gun control doesn't work. It literally only creates situations like this where criminals shoot down innocent people.

Prison > Dead. Illegal concealed carry is a misdemeanor, even in commie states like CA.

Honestly, they should move to a different state. I'm lucky to be in one of the last states the still recognize the 2nd amendment (Arkansas).

Let police handle it > answering questions from police

Not to be pedantic but to be perfectly pedantic, there’s five counties in NYC. She was in Kings County (Brooklyn). But you’re right otherwise as I’m sure they all have similar/same gun laws.

    [–][deleted] 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

Oops, that was a simple mistake. I'll change "county" to "counties". (They all have the same gun laws.)

Cool, yeah, figured. Don't know the specific gun laws but figured.

    Uhhhhhhh...terrible advice.

Thanks, I’ll just call the police instead of them wanting to talk to me.
