      Not every story is fucking frontpage national news, dude. Every day someone gets arrested for severely abusing or raping their kids. Is what this guy did worse than severe abuse or rape? Given that the kid was taken to the hospital and found to be fine, obviously the guy wasn't putting his weight on him, so I'm gonna say definitely not. It's still fucked up, it's still child abuse, but this isn't some kind of national scandal.

      Every American has the right to a trial, by jury, with the presumption of innocence until proven guilty, where they can face their accuser and plead their case. Those are some of our most fundamental constitutional rights. Even if it were the case that they had committed some terrible crime, they were still robbed of their right to a trial.

      That's of course ignoring the fact that you're full of shit. They lynched people for standing up to white supremacy. Lynchings where the person deserved to die were the exception, not the rule. Read some history.

      And just to be clear, obviously raping someone isn't standing up to white supremacy. But as the more violent companion to Jim Crow laws, lynchings were very much a part of enforcing white supremacy.

      I saw two conflicting sources on who was lynched the most, but that wasn't really the point of what you were saying before. They were usually guilty of the crimes they were accused of. And "white supremacy" is an anti-white myth. Here is who actually are the victims of interracial violence.

      No shit slavery wasn't unique to America. But he claimed that white supremacy is an anti-white myth in the context of a discussion which was obviously about the USA. You would have to be incredibly ignorant to believe that white supremacy was never a thing in the USA.
