Tim Pool is the closest there is to impartial journalism. I am also former left person who is highly likely to vote for Trump this year. Over the last four years I went from being left to solid center because of the craziness of the left. I will rarely admit this to people irl because I'm in a blue state surrounded by SJWs. But I know the number of people like me is growing.

I am another one, also in a relatively blue state surrounded by SJWs (although I at least blocked most of them from my social media accounts at this point). I'm done with how much the left wants to turn the country over to complete authoritarianism. The left pretends it respects the underdog and the underprivileged person, but I've had nothing but them screaming at me over dumb shit like masks when I followed the mandate to begin with and never said I wasn't wearing one in public places. And for them to riot and to further destroy the economy all in the name of a black man who was a career criminal is so completely morally wrong that I'm just totally over them.

Yes exactly. Also they are doing a lot of this in states that have been blue for a very long time. Joe Biden has already been in a high position of power. Voting blue clearly has not achieved anything. Dems are also joining and supporting these protests. How can you be against the establishment when you are the establishment? It just makes no sense..

I think maybe "honest" would be a better term to use. Tim doesn't hide his biases or agenda, and no matter how honest you are, that will always affect what you're interested in reporting and talking about. And I don't think there is anything wrong with that.

Not trying to discourage you from voting for Trump (it's a good thing to keep Biden out of office), but if this was your transition, you may benefit from learning about libertarian ideologies. Not necessarily anarchist or ancap, just the general libertarian ideologies, like the non-aggression principal and the idea that government has no right to tell an adult what they can do with themselves. And also that crimes that don't have a human victim (gun/drug possession, for instance) are inherently violent and unethical. There is much more to it, but I think you would appreciate it.

I have definitely looked into libertarian thinking maybe it would be a good third party but after reading what they are for I just can't support that either. I respect what they believe in, and agree on a number of points, but I just don't think that libertarian ideology and policies would improve society. I think government does have an important role to play, just not the role that current liberals think it should.

Do it. Go Green or Libertarian. Protest vote. It's all rigged anyway. There are over 40 ways to rig the vote and they're actively controlling all of them.

Fair enough. It's not for everyone. If you don't mind talking a bit about, what were some of the major issues you had with libertarianism? You mentioned the role of government being necessary, but was your impression that all libertarians want to completely eradicate the government? Like anarchists. There are definitely different sub groups under the libertarian umbrella, but I think the most common are the constitutionalist (myself included) that just want the government's role to be reduced back to their constitutional authority. Nothing more, and nothing less.

As someone who has always had Libertarian tendencies, how do you distinguish Trump from a Libertarian? I personally feel that he is easily our most libertarian President since before Roosevelt, probably since before the formation of the federal reserve.

I’d love nothing more than to have this whole current communist movement (as far as I’m concerned, that’s what everything going on right now is) blow up in the left’s face without doing too damage to America so that we get some real Left-Libertarianism in this country.

That would be amazing if it happened, but it would take a lot of coordinated effort. And you're right, it's pure commie propaganda coming out of the left right now.

As far as Trump being a libertarian, my main argument against that is he supported red flag laws and bump stock bans, and he didn't do anything to remove the endless unconstitutional 2A restrictions that fed, state and local governments have enacted. He should be working on a bill right now to put an end to 2A restrictions.

He supported the enormous spending bills during this covid situation, which costs our taxpayers trillions. He has increased spending overall, as well.

He also has not deregulated drugs, which would be pretty crucial. He should end the war on drugs and the war on pain patients. I appreciate him attempting to deregulate some parts of the healthcare system, like with experimental treatments for terminal patients. That's a plus.

And he supports enormous Israel welfare programs, BUT at least he is actively working on getting us out of paying for garbage like the WHO and UN. He needs to cut Israel off though.

I agree he is the most libertarian president in modern times, which is why I encourage people to vote for him. Especially over Biden. But I wouldn't call him an actual libertarian.

Fair and agreed on all points. Call me naive but I'm looking forward to a lame duck second term.
