Actually the leading reason for elective abortions in the US were financial.

Then don't have intercourse. Take responsibility for yourself and avoid having intercourse. And I'm using the word "Intercourse" because I'm still cutting some slack and saying if someone is incapable (for whatever reason) of using birth control then they can still indulge in outercourse instead of intercourse.

But honestly, this "financial" excuse is a line of pure garbage. No one ever explains 1. "how much they need" and 2. why only the wealthy should have children.

Ah so we've moved right from... we do help women... to women should just close their legs...

I'm so surprised.

Meanwhile, are women impregnating themselves? Why is it you people never tell men to have vasectomies before they have sex? Why is it that only women need to suffer the indignity of medical procedures they don't consent to?

Why aren't ya'll protesting outside of men's college dorms with pictures of dead babies screaming at them to go get snipped up before they accidentally force some poor young girl to have an abortion just because they were too lazy to use the only form of birth control that is side effect free, foolproof, cheap and readily available.

I'm genuinely curious why ya'll claim to support women yet literally always pretend like women with accidental pregnancies were masturbating when they got that way.

You're just a scum bag

For suggesting men be held accountable for the lives they help make. I'm so not surprised that you think so.

It's actually amazing how many of you people get significantly less righteous about abusing people and protesting and stripping bodily autonomy when men are suddenly the ones being talked about.

It's almost like preserving life isn't at the core of your morals...

Being an actual Misandrist, you're always entertaining. Whenever I think I'm being overly critical or too much of a jerk, you remind me that I'm actually doing okay as a person.

[–]radfem 5 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 0 fun6 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Did you just admit that all prolifers and anyone who doesn't 100% support abortions and full female bodily autonomy are misogynists?

[–]Zahn 2 insightful - 4 fun2 insightful - 3 fun3 insightful - 4 fun -  (1 child)

You are compulsively obsessed with Misandry. I used to hope you were a troll, but you're sadly probably not. So we all just have to come to terms with it, together we'll get through this...whatever "this" is and wherever "through" goes.

[–]radfem 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Buddy if we agree that all prolifers are misogynists and that not supporting the full bodily autonomy of women is wrong then we really don't have anything to discuss here. Glad to see your on my side though.

The woman is nuts. She's part of this current trend of playing the victim plus she's lesbian. It wasn't that long ago that I was believing that I was living as a lesbian. Needless to say, I didn't meet too many that were pro-family or pro-males. There was a lot of claims that they were but there always remained an underlying arrogance that they were somehow better than men and that women that loved men were 'misguided.'

It's a mental illness and the best way to handle the mentally ill is to not argue with them. Just be polite to them and they'll eventually get bored and walk away.

Your kind plays the same game over and over again and each time you act like you're some sort of savoir on a moral mission. In the end, your kind is just subhuman garbage practicing a form of Nazi style eugenics.

None of you screaming 'health care' and 'compassion' do a damn thing for anyone. You don't know any of these women and you don't want to get to know any of them. It's all about you being able to screw without responsibility. All anyone can do is pray for people like you.

[–]radfem 5 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 0 fun6 insightful - 1 fun -  (23 children)

Buddy you don't know your history, forcing women to give birth was part of Nazi eugenics and a number of nurses saved many women by giving them secret abortions so they wouldn't be used as test subjects.

Maybe go do some reading on the topic before you try to insult me any further.

[–]WooWhoVintage[S] 2 insightful - 3 fun2 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 3 fun -  (1 child)

You said it yourself, the poor don't have a right to live. Sorry, but that's eugenics.

[–]radfem 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Thousands of poor women die in labour every year because of improper medical care... someone here hates poor people and thinks they should just die, but I don’t think it’s me.

I'm Jewish Orthodox so perhaps you can educate me. I'm alive because my grandfather survived the death camps but I'm sure he forgot to mention a few things. So I look forward to you sharing your great knowledge on this subject.

Actually there’s several great free classes and phenomenal books I could pass along if you like. My wife’s also of Polish decent and one of her great aunts, a gay woman, was used as a test subject in the regimes later years which involved impregnation through rape. Sadly she didn’t survive the inhuman treatment.

So yeah I think we’d actually both have a lot to share.

No I think I prefer to get the information directly from you. Because you know, growing up Hasidic meant that I only could learn about the Holocaust in synagogue, the Jewish Library, during shabbos every week and from all those old survivors that just kept on living. Maybe I should have also paid more attention when I visited Sachsenhausen to see where the woman I'm named after was killed. But fortunately, I'm so lucky to have another chance to learn from your great historical mind. So pretty please, don't deprive me and everyone else of your vast knowledge about this subject.

[–]radfem 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (14 children)

I'm sorry, I'm not actually old enough to have lived through the holocaust, although as a gay women I absolutely would have been subjected to rape and medical experimentation whether I was of the Jewish faith or not at the time. I feel like people often forget that part of the war, where gay people were left to rot in camps long after the end of WW2 and Jewish liberation because being gay was still seen as a subhuman crime.

Regardless, many of the people who did live through the nightmare have left pretty detailed written records behind (called books) so we fortunately don't need to rely of half remembered (and sometimes heavily edited revisionist) tales told to people who were never anywhere near the horror (but feel it's some sort of mark of character that they were related to someone who was).

The fantastic thing about books too is is that they give us many varied narratives and not just the limited experiences of one person being treated as the norm and the horrific stories of others being denied just because they are different from what people like to believe the only story was.

Pretty good system we have with written narratives (called books) don't you think.

I can personally recommend this women's autobiography:

And this book about what happened to women after the fall of Berlin:

Liberal propaganda

According to the "Rise and Fall of the Third Reich" and the documentary "The World at War" the Nazis used abortion as an integral part of their eugenics program. If you would like page and episode numbers, I can provide those.

[–]radfem 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

And abortions were used by jewish doctors to save women's lives.

I can give you an entire biography on it if you'd like.

But I'm not the one insisting people are Nazis for sharing basic medical practices here.
