    I mean it is pretty messed up in some ways, and people have been sent to secret torture sites like the one uncovered in Chicago in 2015: https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2015/feb/24/chicago-police-detain-americans-black-site

    There's reasons we have accountability for things like this. It's one thing to take a person to prison so they can be prosecuted. It's another to put a person in an unmarked civilian car and whisk them off to god-knows-where for an undetermined amount of time for reasons that may or may not be legal.

    This could also be a way to get undercover officers out of the area without outing them as cops. Either way who cares, this is local government's responsibility and these assholes aren't protesters. Call them what they are rioters or insurgents, arrest them all charge them with terrorism then arrest the people who are funding this operation.

    The furthest I'd go on the conspiracy theory train is they're being extracted. Even then that's not too far out of the norm. It's possible they're eyes on the ground.

    But this... I'd say they're being arrested. The gear they're wearing isn't the typical.... "I'm a protester" gear.
