Some right wing sources have both, but certainly there's too much focus on the negative. A balance is best.

bad news sells. Even the good news recently of a little boy who saved his sister's life against a dog is still negative for the poor kid who needed 90 stitches. I can't think of any good news recently.

Yep...A plane landing safely is not news. But a fiery plane crash is.

And I think the media actively tries to cause bad news to happen in order to increase their sagging ratings. They fan the flames of racism. I don't think BLM protests would have spread nationally without national media. One guy got killed in Minnesota, that should just be a local news story in Minnesota. But they reported it everywhere and then and only then did protests spread everywhere. A protest and looting occurred right in my town that is thousands of miles away from Minnesota, all of a sudden that is a news story that effects me so I did look into the MSM reporting on it, wanting to know why it happened and how to avoid it. Well they did get a little ratings boost from me and I sat thru some ads. On a much higher level than just me it gained millions of viewers that otherwise would have kept tuning out from the MSM.
