It was notable in the UK that the first political cause BLMuk allied themselves with was Palestinian vs Israel. Never mind bringing much needed attention to all the countless black lives being lost to civil wars raging in Africa, they went instead for the most tokenist of token Leftwing issues of the day.

Civil wars in Africa don't have an obvious anti-Western slant. Sure they could point to colonial legacies, but ultimately it's Africans killing Africans. Israel versus Palestinians is a great choice for three reasons:

  1. Jews. Disliked because they are Jews.
  2. Israel is aligned to the West, and the only country in that region that would be recognised as having Western values.
  3. Muslims. Liked because, with the fall of communism, they are the most visible opponent of Western values.

Being the smart person in the community

Anyway, I think that a good community should learn to deal with their problems. Otherwise there will be people outside the community to do it for you.

But now problems have become so big that they start blaming the outside help that they are getting.

Why is it that hard to understand what Black Lives Matter means? It's possible to understand that crime in empoverished communities is a problem and also fight for policies that get black people out of the very ghettos that cause that crime. It's all related but I guess that too nuanced for half of the people in this thread to comprehend.
