    I feel for you. How do you see yourself in these times?

    When I was young, in the UK, this racial division was hardly visible. School and university were very mixed, with people just being friends or not based on personality. There was such hope for the world. Seems to have been descending into divisive shit ever since. (30+ years later)

    My wake up to racism was when a Jamaican gentleman decided to put a gun to my head for being white in the wrong area of London. Since then I see those youthful days of equality as a bit of a dream, and occasionally look back in sorrow over those friendships, which would be seriously strained by society in these days.

      Hey so I don’t quite understand how one equates to the other here - not that I like Democrats (though I don’t like republicans either) - I just tend to find that this kind of thing is false equivalency - I’d rather find ways in which we show how a Democrat policy is an utter failure - is somehow Chicago some kind of example democratic city that shows these policies in action? The comment in here regarding gun control (lol my auto correct corrected gun to fun and I almost left it) seems a better way to frame this... would you agree? Or are there other policies that allows violent crime to exist specifically in Chicago at greater rates than other large cities (and is that true?)?
