They’re terrified of losing their livelihood. Who is strong enough to voluntarily relinquish their professions and social standing for the truth ? Who wants to be humiliated before the world for truth ?

I thought that was the noblest thing an academic could do. They told us so. It's one reason that academics have such high standing in our society - they're willing to give up a great deal to stand for Truth.
