Americans say the US is dangerous because the NRA supports gun rights, but maybe the real threat is the ruling class who wants to ban guns so that the elites can fill their private prisons.

It is hypocritical of those who say they are against violence to support legislation that puts more people behind bars. Taking away someone's freedom and the stigma that comes with having been in the system is certainly violence against another. Nor does prison generally have anything positive to offer anyone.
