Why...are you attempting to cover for the powerful? You're doing it wrong. You don't speak truth to the powerless.

I speak truth to the misinformed. I do not care if they are powerful or powerless.

You comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable. Not the other way around. And who was misinformed? This is a high-information discussion involving truths that are not widely know, but should be.

When you find yourself serving the interests of the powerful, maybe it's time to re-think how you got there. Don't help them. No mercy. No forgiveness. No compromise. They get nothing. Not one inch should be moved in their favor on any issue, ever. The minute you start giving them anything, you'll never be able to stop, until they own you.
