I've been a never Trumper from day one, but I'm considering it now.

There are a lot of things I don't like about Trump but there's no way I'm voting for the party that creates riots as a strategy to win the election.

I know people don't like to hear it, but voting third party or write in really IS throwing your vote away. Sometimes...most times in fact, you just vote for the lesser evil.

[–]merc 7 insightful - 1 fun7 insightful - 0 fun8 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

This kind of thinking is what gets us to the point we are at. Trump v. Clinton, Trump v. Biden, etc.

The only thing stopping a third party from having success is the insistence that a third party can't have success.

[–]Earl_Harbinger 6 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 0 fun7 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Agreed, but the best way to support/start a third party is to get organized and elect people on the local level and work your way up.

[–]merc 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I know you mean well, but honestly I think that's just more bipartisan propaganda.

Here in Minnesota we elected Ventura (Reform Party) as governor in '98. He was the last third-party governor in the US (other than a couple independents who I don't count). The Reform Party was Ross Perot's party, definitely more of a top-down style than grassroots, and it was the only good third party we've had in the country in the last century. It was decidedly not concentrated on local politics.

In another vein, voting for third parties in national elections is a great way to support them. At certain thresholds of support they get access to federal election funding (5%), debate access (15%), and so on. Using your vote to increase the voice of a third party, as well as show discontent with the current discourse, seems like a fine choice to me.

He is a total Israel-first shill, but he's better than the alternative. This country will go full on South Africa if Biden gets in. Imagine every town and city looking exactly like Detroit or Minneapolis. Biden is going to order an unrelenting stream of immigration that will totally and permanently destroy our country.

[–]kangarooninjadonuts 15 insightful - 2 fun15 insightful - 1 fun16 insightful - 2 fun -  (3 children)

I'm half Mexican, my great grandparents immigrated here from Mexico (legally). I have nothing against legal immigration, but to suggest that it's a good thing to make an existing population the minority in their own country is just plain stupid. Some immigration is healthy to the economy and culture, but history has shown that mass influxes from immigrants causes wage depression, strain on infrastructure, and general animosity. The whole point of immigrating to another country is to embrace it's culture and assimilate, not to replace and usurp. I'll never understand these self hating idiots.

[–]Reimu 13 insightful - 1 fun13 insightful - 0 fun14 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

There are very few people who are against any and all immigration. But even legal immigration should be strictly limited and mostly merit based. For example, if you want to immigrate to Japan, you need to speak great Japanese, be highly educated, not be old, and have some work experience or the chances you are accepted are virtually nil. Even with all those things your chances are small.

No reason why the US shouldn't be the same way. We aren't a charity case. 75% of the world's population would rather live in the US. We can and should be picky, lest we get overrun by the third world, which largely consists of people who don't support the values that western societies are founded upon and who have no intentions of assimilating.

[–][deleted] 6 insightful - 2 fun6 insightful - 1 fun7 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

75% of the world's population would rather live in the US.

Really?! Maybe not after all this...

Imo there's nothing wrong with a complete moratorium on immigration. The country exists to serve Americans, y'know? Americans need a place to live. There are unique ethnic groups here that have no other place they really belong. They need their own ethnic spaces to exist and part of the function of the government should be protecting that.

[–]Wrang1er 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Me too, my father immigrated from Brazil when he was 10.

[–]Reimu 7 insightful - 1 fun7 insightful - 0 fun8 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

He is a total Israel-first shill

He is definitely way too pro-Israel, but I don't think he's their shill. He panders to them because it energizes a part of the base. The old, religious, conservative faction unfortunately eats that shit up. He moved that embassy like two years ago and my grandma still brings it up. Honestly I don't mind a move like that even if I'm not pro-Israel because it doesn't actually do much except increase odds he gets re-elected.

[–]Wrang1er 5 insightful - 2 fun5 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

The only people that think he is a shill are conspiracy theorists, which are about 2% of the population.

[–]Jesus 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

He'a a shill and hangs out with the worst of worst people. How's that call wirh Larry Silveratein every Sunday? Trump loves the guy. Silverstein, Lowy and all the orher Zionist stooges including Kroll demolished the twin towers and Trump praises these criminals.

He even pardoned Kerik, another Zionist stooge who found the magic passport that fell intact from the "plane" to identitfy the scary "hijackers."

Kerik was pardoned by Trump recently.

[–]Jesus 5 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 0 fun6 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

He is their shill. Considered one of if not the greatestt presidents for Israel in history. They believe he's Cyrus the Great over there.

The Israelis love Trump and so do the dancing Israelis.

For god's sake, he sined an antisemitism bill into law that in fine print can be easily misconstrued so that ceiticism of Jews or Israel is a hate crime.

Come on!!

He had Robert Kraft the guy who was in that prostitution ring crap and Dershowitz speak on his behalf when he signed the bill.

STOP being so scared of the left and communism. Yes, its a threat but the right is also co trolles by ZioCons and rhey are currently in power.

[–]Earl_Harbinger 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

No doubt his family ties also affect him on this.

[–]Jesus 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

Biden knows he isn't going to win. Look at Amanda Head the ZioCon whose husband gives her a push-up bra and shoots his camera with pinpoint accuracy to get the right mundo gazunga frame to hypnooze the braindead conservatives. She is a Netanyahu supporter and yet loves Trump and Biden as both are great for Israel. Trump has put us further and further into debt. Has signed an anti-semitism law spitting on the 1st amendment, pardoned 9/11 perps, and let in a stream of immigrants unlike deport in chief Obomba.

Biden is a pedo too, and the dems wamt Trump to win. They don't really gove two shits. It is theater. The rich dems win with Trump and re media gets to keep making fun of him. Plus, Zionsim stays hot.

They do. A president is a president for the US corporation. Look up in black's law or anywhere else what is thr United States. The legal def. is a federal corporation.

When you vote you contract with said corporation and are handed over privileges without rights.

Democrats make a killing off of Trump. Trump was a life long democrat after all and most of his Israeli friends are quite liberal.

    It's all kabuki theater.

    [–]Jesus 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Plus, Trump has brought credibility back to the media on a partisan basis. Most people have such a short memory span that they forget both the left and right are warmongers.

    [–]Jesus 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

No, it is better you spend no time contracting with a corporation. Trumo appoints neocons and is a Likudnik loving shill. How close are you to the 9/11 perps? You give money to Mossad? Don't vote for either of these Zionist stooges.

Please don't. The guy is President already and the censorship/woke politics hasn't gotten better, it's only gotten worse and will continue to get worse. He's part of the problem because he does the same thing from the other side. Also, because he's so terrible a lot of reasonable people who recoil from woke politics (which is the vast majority) still side with the far left.

What we need is a reasonable third alternative. I'm considering voting for Jo Jorgensen, the Libertarian candidate.

    [–]Reimu 8 insightful - 2 fun8 insightful - 1 fun9 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

The guy is President already and the censorship/woke politics hasn't gotten better, it's only gotten worse and will continue to get worse.

But most of the increase in censorship/woke politics are the establishment's response to him and his supporters. At the very least he has harped on and brought attention to big tech censorship and biased media. Throwing your vote away in some meaningless protest is the definition of a futile action. So I'm supposed to look at someone who publicly declares that big tech censorship is a problem, and someone who represents the establishment that promulgates and enables said censorship, and conclude one of these isn't a worse evil? Protest votes are almost always pointless.

He's part of the problem because he does the same thing from the other side.

    ???

Also, because he's so terrible a lot of reasonable people who recoil from woke politics (which is the vast majority) still side with the far left.

This is not my experience at all. If anything, the far left getting crazier and crazier over the past few years has scared more people away from them. Don is whacky but he's kept it pretty constant. The left has done noting but slowly raise the intensity of their derangement since 2015. November will prove me right here.

    [–][deleted] 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

    Jo Jorgensen, the Libertarian candidate.

What are your thoughts on her candidacy?

    [–]aryngeous 5 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 0 fun6 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

She's the only one who's promising freedom of everyone, instead of engaging in right/left identity politics. She's the only one running on traditional American values. That being said, I haven't decided yet. It's early days. I could still go for Biden. No way I'm going for Trump.

    [–]GiveMeSpezsAddress 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

He's the candidate of inaction. Which compared to a candidate of action, but the bad kind, is a good thing.

    [–]Aureus 13 insightful - 2 fun13 insightful - 1 fun14 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

The rampant censorship is reason enough.

    [–]LeyMio 12 insightful - 2 fun12 insightful - 1 fun13 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

Riots & Censorship. Democrats have been trying to start a Cultural Revolution in America. Imagine what they could do if they win the election.

    [–]Jesus 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

    Sponsored by Amazon and LEGO.

Democrats are the last people you should be worried about. It's bigger than the two party sham.

This dude still thinks Trump is different from Biden.

Hey, remember when Trump didn't end a single war that Biden and Obama started? Trump escalated in Syria, occupied their oil fields and outright admits that he is now stealing their oil. Trump also escalated against Iran and assassinated who was essentially the equivalent of their vice president. He's giving billions in weapons and intelligence to Saudi Arabia as they massacre Yemenis and even vetoed a bill attempting to cut US ties to the Saudi-Yemen war. Trump has conducted more drone strikes than Obama, civilian casualties are rising under Trump, and Trump inexplicably canceled the Obama-era directive that required the intelligence community to publicly report the number of civilians killed by drones each year. He's escalating the charges against Julian Assange, and is having him extradited to the US and charged for espionage for reporting US war crimes. Even Obama refused to extradite and charge him with espionage.

I could keep going for a long fuckin time.

Stand your ground and vote your conscience, not the dude who is possibly a little bit lesser of two evils but not really lesser of evil due to the aforementioned terrorism Trump has committed (along with many more instances). Don't vote for a terrorist (Biden or Trump).

    [–]Earl_Harbinger 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

The Iran escalation deserves context. He assasinated a man that organized hits on our soldiers.

    [–]soundsalad 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

How about some more context: US soldiers who were illegally occupying Iraq. Soleimani was working with Iraqis to fight off American terrorists.

Screw Trump. Guy was a life long democrat and has let in more immigrants then Obama. He is a controlled opposition playing his part in perception management theater.

Kabuki theater for the right. They want you so scared you actually have to vote for a ZioCon who craps on the 1st amendment, hangsout with pedophiles, pardons 9/11 perps, etc.

    [–]JayAye 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Vote for Jo Jorgensen. If you always settle for a candidate that's just marginally better than the other candidate because it's the better of two evils, there is no incentive for the parties to give you a candidate that you like. You are just allowing the political parties to effortlessly become more and more authoritarian, as long as the other party is authoritarian too. Protect your first, second, and fourth amendment rights. Vote for Jo.

    [–]GiveMeSpezsAddress 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I'll only do it because the alternative is a man with literal dementia being controlled by retarded loud sassy women.

    [–]cyburgh 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

I'm new here, this is just absolutely wild to me to see pro-Trump positions in the "/r/politics" section. That said, I have a hard time taking a guy that lives with his parents seriously.

Guy is a satanist and controlled opposition. How about do not contract with the corporation? Or just put into powwr a Zionist stooge who has brought in more immigrants then deportee Obama.

Voting for Trump slows the onset of Civil War.

We need to accelerate the war.

    [–]Earl_Harbinger 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (5 children)

I'm willing to hear you out - why does accelerating the situation help?

    [–]Bill_Shevik_Jager 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

Fighting sooner is better because in 20 years we will have less freedom to communicate and organize. We will also have less weapons, less influence on the Military, less wealth, and less actual fighters thanks to environmental toxins, imprisonment, and miscegenation.

    [–]Earl_Harbinger 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

Miscegenation wouldn't fit in that list to my mind, but perhaps I'm biased as I'm a participent.

    [–]Bill_Shevik_Jager 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Exactly. Most people have no idea how accelerated miscegenation actually is. The sooner we divorce, the more peaceful it can be.
