How is "Islam" doing it? That is a very careless and malicious accusation. Most people in America own weapons and most are Christian. Does that make gun ownership a Christian phenomenon? I'll let you wonder on that one. I personally don't think it is Christian but it also doesn't undermine the Christian identity of the population. It requires a bit of nuance to understand, you know?

Either way, it seems as though all ability to see nuance is thrown out once you start talking about Islam.

mecca, the heart of islam, is located in saudi arabia.

That Arab regime isn't the "heart of Islam". There are a ton of Muslims that don't agree with the Saudis or rebel against them (Yemenis, Iranians). Saudis have a better relationship with America than the Muslims they disagree with. Either way, they are not representatives of Islam, they are just guardians of certain holy sites.

islam is commanded by the quran to enslave all nonmuslims.

Umm I've been Muslim my entire life, it has never commanded me to this. Also, I'd like to see any theological justification for slavery, all I saw was Arab regimes having terrible policy. Arab is not the same as "Islamic". Again, like a majority of the victims of modern Arab slavery are other Muslims. In my opinion, taking the Quran out of the equation wouldn't solve any problems.

I think you're thinking of the Babylonian Talmud.
