It's just click bate. Click bate I have no interest in. Now what I do find interesting is the characters "共匪". Now why on earth did you post the Chinese characters for 'gangster' in your reply?

My translator says it means "communist bandit (i.e. PLA solider during the civil war)"

So he's referring to the CCP using hired agents or shills to influence public opinion, I believe

Strange both google and mdbg.net show it phonetically as "gòng​fěi", but for some reason, google then translates that to 'gangster'. But if you break it up, both sites give you 'total bandit.'

Each character individually translate to "common" (as in communism) and then "bandit". It's a disparaging term for mainland Chinese soldiers (and shills) as far as I can tell
