You could ask the police the same question since they're actually hired to protect people...

BLM is specifically about police violence, you know that right?

So asking BLM why they weren't present when something happened that had nothing to do with police... is a complete nonsense question?

I have a lot of trouble understanding why so many think this is such a clever "gotcha" retort?

I'm not a huge BLM fan, but accusing them of not doing something that isn't their related to their actual purpose isn't an intelligent counter-argument, imo

It's like if someone died in a swimming pool, and you're like "Where's the coast guard, I thought they protected everyone in the water!"

He’s not asking why BLM didn’t protest the girls getting raped he’s asking the protesters why they are not outraged and protesting the polices lack of action against the Pakistani gangs raping young white girls.

raping young white girls.

They never said White lives matter, and they don't believe they do.

Really they don't actually even do this.

They're mostly there as revenue generation for the city.

Secondly, they arrest people after an incident occurs, petty crimes, etc.

The major reason the oligarchs use them for is to break up protests, and protect the wealthy (and their wealth).

They're rarely around to prevent violent crimes, etc. This is mostly a myth.

They were created from the industrialist goon squad, and pawned off into cars city's, because they didn't want to risk firing the goons.
That's the actual history of their formation.

I'm not saying that the police are goons.
Just pointing out that they weren't formed as some benevolent act for civil society.

The design intent was to keep the public in check.

Yes I agree. The police is to the government, as HR is to the multinational company.
