What scares them even more is having their lock on power exposed.
Look at the blowback from revealing the democratic nomination was an insider rigging exercise. The public won't be allowed such insights again in a long time, I fear.

I'm all for unity, but I think black power especially scares the establishment. Blacks have been historically targeted by policies like the war on drugs while white power has been the establishment in a lot of ways. But maybe there's an equal amount of CIA agents co-opting each, I'm just some dude on not-reddit.

black power especially scares the establishment
All forms of "people power" scare the establishment. Unions used to freak them out really bad before they put a lid on that whole deal. The thing black power has a lot of, is internal unity. A super-unified group of people operating on their own norms is a challenge to the status quo, every time.
That said, factionalization is a prerequisite for a war where they can control both sides and walk away scot-free.
It's a tricky thing, it seems.
